RIDDARHUSET BRÖLLOP I STOCKHOLM - E & M
E&M chose Riddarhuset, House of Nobility, as their wedding venue - a place with historical significance in the heart of Stockholm. This 17th century venue, reserved for those with royal affinity, provided an elegant backdrop for their special day. It is one of the unique Swedish wedding venues with royal atmosphere.
The evening started by me arriving to photograph from dinner that the bride and groom were having with their family and children. This gave them a chance to converse and share their best wishes within their intimate circle.
We had a very short moment before the ceremony to take some family photos and couple portraits in the gardens of Riddarhuset filled with evening sun.
E&M’s civil ceremony took place in one of Riddarhuset’s grand rooms - panelled in wood, chandeliers and grand windows provided a sophisticated yet welcoming ambience for their vows. Following a Swedish tradition the couple entered the ceremony room together along walked by the children who were in attendance.
As the springtime sun sets early in Sweden, the reception space Stenhallen was lit up in bright pink to set the mood for the party. The couple's friends gave heartfelt speeches, the couple's daughter helped to cut the Princess wedding cake and after the first dance, the party continued into the night.
Venue - Riddarhuset
The wedding guests had an easy time arriving to the venue as it is in the middle of Stockholm city. I highly recommend this venue for a classical and luxurious wedding in Stockholm.
Wedding Officiant - Anneli Silverstolpe
The ceremony officiant, dressed in a traditional Swedish folk costume added a unique touch to this Swedish wedding. As a photographer can highly recommend her as a wedding officiant.
