FAQs

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Yes, I do. I'm based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Most of my weddings take place outside the city in beautiful scenery, therefore traveling across this huge country and to Scotland is a regular practice for me. Full day packages include some travel costs that I am aware of from the experience and are fixed.

I have been fortunate enough to photograph weddings of different cultures (Scottish, Russian, Latvian, Spanish, Swedish) over the past years thanks to my clients. I believe that distance is not as important nowadays since getting to the location in Scotland would take the same amount of time as to the north of Sweden.
HOW MANY IMAGES WE WILL RECEIVE?

I average at about 60-80 images per hour. More being during the ceremony and the least during bridal preparations. However, the total amount depends on how many guests you will have, weather, location specifics and other variables.
WHAT TO DO IF IT RAINS?

No bad weather, just bad clothes is what they say in Scandinavia. To some extent applicable to a wedding day as well. The dress is meant to be worn only on the wedding day therefore don't let the fear of getting a few stains limit you from being outside.

For those who know that wind doesn't flatter their hair, try to go for a hairstyle that will hold throughout the winds. To not compromise on your style and not distract from enjoying the moment, I recommend renting or buying a few transparent umbrellas, some rainboots/doc marten's under the dress or leather sneakers to keep your feet dry for the rainy day and heatgear leggings for the chilly days under your dress. A friend with a car nearby where to take the shelter inbetween the shoot could be a great bonus too.

As for venues, look for those where there is a plan B to host also the people indoors. The staff on site can help to convert it last minute and the florist can bring in the decor to repurpose it to the indoor setting.
WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS FOR SHOOTING THROUGHOUT THE DAY?

I try to shoot candidly which means I will intervene as least as possible capturing the beautiful, funny, and awkward moments and the overall ambiance of the location. At the same time I keep an eye on balancing the imperfections, framing and highlighting the beauty of things and people which matter to you. Therefore after viewing my previous work, it is important that you feel that you can trust me with how I would see your day as well. I believe our core values should be similar for you to love your photos.
WHAT IS YOUR EDITING PROCESS?

I strive to achieve an edited look without making the images over-processed. In that way your Scottish kilt will retain true to life tones and the sunset sky will look similar to what you remember when stepping outside for some fresh air after dinner.

All of the delivered images are always edited in a similar style in terms of colour and exposure and the best ones can be retouched to remove some fly aways, blemishes, if necessary. You can also request some to be processed in black and white.
