Summer Engagement & Couples Photoshoot in Gamla Stan | Stockholm Photographer

This lovely couple had traveled all the way from San Francisco, visiting Sweden for a wedding. They decided to extend their trip and explore more of the country and included a spontaneous couples photosession in their plans.

It was one of those warm summer evenings, and we met for a short photoshoot around Gamla Stan, where they were staying (at the recently revamped Hotel Reisen, by the way). The evening light in Stockholm during summer is something truly special — soft, golden, and incredibly flattering. Their sun-kissed skin tones looked amazing in that warm light, and the pastel buildings of the Old Town provided the perfect backdrop.

As we wandered the cobblestone streets, we realised they’d gotten engaged on a beach just outside San Francisco, a place I’ve actually visited myself during my trips to the USA. Always kind of beautiful to find those little connections, especially when we live on opposite sides of the planet. As a Stockholm photographer I am happy to have created images they will cherish and use for their wedding invitations.
